Create thurderbird for your work (4)-enable session mode to read emails

A good function of Gmail is session: sessions can bring together emails on the same topic for easy reading. Therefore, the session function has become a big selling point for Gmail to promote itself.
Generally, mail clients arrange mails by time, sender, and so on. Although such sorting method can well track read and unread emails, It is very inconvenient to read emails related to the same topic. You need to find related emails for reading. If you have a large number of emails and a large number of topics, you can easily find an email with the same subject without missing one, it is not something that can be done in a few seconds.
In Thunderbird, you can directly use thread to display Gmail sessions. In Thunderbird, the menu view-> sort by-> threaded can be used to display emails in the thread topic mode, and then unthreaded can be selected to arrange emails in a normal way.
Of course, the session function provided by Thunderbird is very limited. After installing some plug-ins, you can get an enhanced version of thread.
1) threadvis
When you read the email, you can draw a small graph to understand the time node in the topic email group.
2) threadbubble
In Thunderbird session mode, mails are arranged by default only according to the time of the first email, which is inconvenient for tracking the latest emails. If you have too many emails, you may need to find the latest emails on the screen.
Install the threadbubble plug-in. If a new email is sent, it will automatically help you sort the emails again. The sorting is based on the first mail in this session. In this way, you can find emails at a glance.
3) Search for Sender
This plug-in can be used as a helper function for sessions. Sometimes there are too many emails. It is easy to concentrate on viewing the emails you are interested in at the time. With the search for Sender plug-in installed, you can right-click the 'search for this sender' and 'search for this subobject' commands. With these two quick commands, you can easily find emails related to topics and authors.
I think of this method as another session display function other than the thread mode.
4) [UN] Read
When there are too many emails, many unread emails are hidden in the theme you fold up. This module provides a quick switch button in 'view all' and 'view unread'. If you cannot find unread emails, you only need to click this button, find the unread email you want to process and switch back to the session mode. After installation, drag the shortcut button to the toolbar in View> toolbars> customize.
5) XUL/migemo
By installing this plug-in, you can enhance your search function and have color and other functions when searching, you can also use advanced functions such as matching case and regular expressions to find the information you need.
