The above are official statements.
I cannot install eclipse3.4.0, 3.4.1, or 3.4.2 myself. Both 3.4.0 and 3.4.1 are too low WST, which requires 3.0, and 3.4.2 is an error during installation.
Install it with myeclipse 7.0, verify pofile or something during installation, and keep stuck there.
Finally, download all-in-one installation, OK. Use eclipse update manager to install the first Chinese package.
I have to say that, compared with eclipse3.2, eclipse3.4 is really disgusting to install plug-ins. Many of them need to be updated online, which is extremely slow.
The current version is Crystal Reports 2008, which is not bad.

I am reluctant to add the Crystal Reports plug-in eclipse 3.4. after analyzing eclipse3.4.1 extracted from all-in-one, we found that J2EE standard tools is installed in it. Will this be the difference.
I immediately downloadedEclipse IDE for Java EE developers(163 MB). Note that Ganymede should not be Europa or galibeo (this should be 3.5). The eclipse version is 3.4.2. Use eclipse update manager to install Crystal Reports 2.0 and its localization package, successful!
I deleted the newly installed Crystal Reports 2.0 and its Chinese package, restarted eclipse, and found that Crystal Reports was gone.
Now you can use another method to install the plug-in. Create a folder named cr4e in the dropins folder (if there is no plug-in under eclipse, decompress the features and plugins folders in the package downloaded through manual installation to this folder. The result is Eclipse/dropins/cr4e/features and Eclipse/dropins/cr4e ins. Restart eclipse, if Crystal Reports is not found, you can delete the/configuration/org. eclipse. after update, run eclipse-clean. I successfully installed the Crystal Reports plug-in.
Therefore, the necessary environment for installing this plug-in is not fully written by the official team, that is, the J2EE plug-in is required.
To prove this, I installed Java EE Developer Tools (http://download.eclipse.org/releases/ganymede Java Development-> JAVA EE Developer Tools) in an eclipse update manager pure eclipse 3.4.1, and then installed Crystal Reports 2.0, successful!

Update content
1. I think the biggest difference is that the "Crystal Reports Java Project ",
2. the original data connection window "Database Explorer" is changed to "Data Source Explorer". Of course, it is not just a name change. The data source option is more than a database connection, but more flat file, web services and XML are used as data sources. "Data Source Explorer" and corrected the bug of "Database Explorer" reading inaccurate database elements.
3. "Data Source Explorer" can be said to be "database experts" who are gradually approaching ". Net" Crystal Reports.
4. You can select EXCEL to export.
5. Improved stability and won't easily cause eclipse to crash like Version 1.0.
6. The interface becomes more beautiful and the operation is more user-friendly.
