Definition

Delivery costs are costs that are invoiced for a delivery over and above the value of the delivery itself. This includes des freight charges, customs duty, or other costs.

Delivery costs is divided into two situations:

    • Planned delivery costs plan fee, which indicates the fee to be paid when the Po is opened, such as freight;

Customs clearance fees for customs. Known fees

    • Unplanned delivery costs is an unplanned fee, which is not known when you open a po. Unknown fee

1. Planned delivery costs

Planned delivery costs are agreed upon with the vendor, a carrier, or a customs office before the purchase order is created. You enter them in the purchase order.

Planned delivery costs can be differentiated as follows:

    • Origin of costs
      • Freight charges
      • Customs charges
    • Calculation of costs
      • Fixed amount, irrespective of Delivered Quantity
      • Quantity-dependent amount
      • Percentage of value of the goods

2. Unplanned delivery costs

Unplanned delivery costs were not agreed on in the purchase order and are not entered until the invoice is already ed.

You can enter the unplanned delivery costs in the invoice document alongside the costs incurred. you can post unplanned delivery costs as follows:

● Distribute them proportionally to calculated invoice items

● Distribute them proportionally to calculated invoice items, aggressive sive of planned delivery costs

● Post them to separate g/L accounts

You can use the business add-in mrm_udc_distribute to define your own rules for distributing unplanned delivery costs. For more information, see the documentation for the business add-in.

The Process

1. Planned delivery

After the purchased parts are purchased, in order to send the purchased parts to the warehouse, the fee generated during the process is the delivery costs charge, which can be apportioned according to the type of the purchased parts, different g/L accounts will be thrown into the plan fee during GR, while the non-Plan fee is manually added during IR, and the stock account will be placed according to the settings, g/L account.

Purchasing --> conditions --> define price determination process --> define condition types

1.2. for freight charges, if special subjects need to be associated in the condition schema, accruals, and then set subjects in omwb

1.3. If you want to display planned delivery entries during IR, select the option.

2. Unplanned delivery costs

Only when Ir occurs, the extra freight is found by the supplier. enter it in the invoice. GR will only be counted into gr/IR clearing Acct .. When IR is used, the additional freight is directly included in the stock account (moving price) or standard price, and then thrown into the small diff. Account --- According to the configuration

2.1 enter unplanned delivery costs in the Details tab during IR

2.2 you can use system configuration to specify whether unplanned delivery cost is automatically allocated to each detail item or included in a specific subject during IR. This is automatically assigned to the details.

Set the unplanned fee to the place where it is located. If it is space, the freight will be allocated to each detail item. If it is 2, it will be thrown into a fixed subject UPF/unplanned delivery costs
