1. Wiring mode
First, connect the DI-504 's own AC power adapter to its rear panel, and then plug the adapter into your power outlet. The Power LED indicator light on the front panel indicates that the operation is correct.
Plug one end of an ethernet cable into the WAN port on the DI-504 rear panel and the other end into the Ethernet port on your dsl/cable modem. The LED light on the WAN port of the DI-504 front panel indicates that the operation is correct.
Plug one end of another ethernet cable into the LAN port on the DI-504 rear panel and the other end to the computer card that you used to configure DI-504. The LED light on the LAN port on the front panel indicates that the operation is correct.
2. Network Settings
First, set the computer to automatically obtain an IP address. Right-click the Network Neighborhood and click Properties.
Open the Network Connection window and right-click the local Area Connection-property.
In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.
Choose to obtain an IP address automatically. Click to confirm that when the local connection is displayed, open the command prompt, enter the command ping 192.168.0.1, and return. If the following interface appears, then the router is connected.
Enter 192.168.0.1 in the browser address bar.
The user name is admin and the password is blank by default.
After clicking OK, enter the DI-504 configuration interface and click the left Wan button.
Click PPPoE, and then fill in the user name and password provided to you by the ISP in the following interface, fill in the password two times. Then click Execute.
After the router is automatically reactivated, you can return to the interface again.
