Skin control (Skin object): In Figure 1 I have a number of skin controls that are important components of DNN skin, which are dynamic elements in the skin. For example, the logo skin control can change the website's logo through the backstage control, the menu skin control may add the new page by the backstage to establish own menu navigation. We can implement dynamic functions in our skin by adding, deleting, and even customizing our own skin controls. Of course, these skin controls are not necessary, we just need to add to the appropriate location of the skin
Edit Area (panel): The area within the orange dotted line in Figure 1 is an editable region where we can insert one or more different modules, for example, now you see a text editing module in this area (text/html module). When making skin we can specify multiple editable regions to achieve different layouts. The principles and production of the skin will be mentioned in a subsequent tutorial.
