DNS server is responsible for the work of domain name resolution, its importance is self-evident. If there is a problem with the DNS server in the network or if the information data is lost, the server will not be able to complete the domain name parsing work. Therefore, you usually want to back up the data information of the DNS server frequently. When a DNS server fails, it is convenient to use backup files to quickly restore the work of the DNS server. Backup of DNS server data in two steps: First, to back up information about DNS servers in the registry, and second, to back up domain name resolution is the DNS data information used.
One, the DNS registry information backup
1. Backup DNS Service Information
A, open the Registry Editor, in the hierarchy list on the left, expand the "Hkey-local-machine\system\currentcontrolset \servioes\dns" project, the main Word key value of all the data back up.
B. Select the DNS project, click the Export option on the File menu, display the Export Registry File dialog box, and set the path and file name of the backup file.
Note: The DNS information has been backed up while backing up the server state, but it is recommended that the DNS data be backed up separately for simplicity and convenience of backing up and restoring DNS data.
2. Backup DNS Server Service Information
A. Open Registry Editor, and in the left level list, expand the Hkey-local-machine\software\microsoft\windows Nt\current\dns Server project to back up all data under this key value.
B. Select the DNS Server project, click the Export option on the File menu, display the Export Registry File dialog box, specify the storage path and file name of the backup file to complete the backup save of the data.
Second, the DNS data file backup
The "DNS Registry information Backup" section backs up the information in the registry, but it does not contain the domain name data information that is used when the domain name is resolved-this part needs to be backed up separately.
Open the DNS server's resource manager, go to the "C:\Windows\system32\dns" directory, the suffix ". DNS" All files are backed up, these files are stored in the domain name resolution used by the domain name data information, so that the domain name data to complete the backup operation.
Third, DNS data restore
When there is a problem with the DNS server, you can use the two parts of the backup data to restore it, with the following details:
1. Run a backup of the two registry files and import them into the registry.
2. All files with the suffix ". DNS" will be overwritten with all files of the same name in the "C:\Windows\system32\dns" directory to complete the data restore of the DNS server.
Note: It is recommended that you restart the DNS server after you have finished restoring the DNS server. AC Buckle 2881064157
