DNS service problems

DNS service problems-Linux Enterprise Application-Linux server application information. For details, refer to the following section. I have configured the DNS service in linux. However, when nslookup is used for parsing in winXp, the following prompt is displayed:
C: \> nslookup dns.beny.com
DNS request timed out.
Timeout was 2 seconds.
* ** Can't find server name for address 192.168.1.3: Timed out
* ** Default servers are not available
Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.1.3
Name: dns.beny.com
Address: 192.168.1.3

Although it seems from the bottom, the resolution is successful. However, I don't quite understand what timed out means. Timeout? However, linux and xp can be pinged to each other through the network.
