DNS proxy settings for Hillstone security gateways

The company used to use telecommunications and unicom two lines of Internet access, each line has a separate router and firewall, a running business data, the other used for ordinary internet, is separate. But the engine room moved to the new office building, and then added a mobile exit, and to use the three export online, with the technical staff to communicate with the supplier, we decided to use the DNS proxy implementation.

The so-called DNS proxy, in simple terms, is to use the Security gateway address (intranet interface address), the replacement of these three export DNS addresses. That is, the computer in the company to set up DNS, only the address of our security gateway into the DNS option can be (preferred and standby are all line, generally fill in the Preferred DNS column), so that the computer can be exported through the three external network Internet.

The DNS proxy settings are not complex and can be roughly divided into two steps:

A Set up a list of DNS servers, which will write the DNS addresses of these three exports to the table;

Two Enter Security Gateway Intranet interface Configuration interface, enable DNS proxy

A Set up a list of DNS servers

1.WEB Way to login security gateway, in the left-hand column in order to configure à network connection, and then select the DNS list in the right column, as shown in the following figure

2. After clicking on the DNS list, pop-up DNS list dialog box, click New

3. Click New, pop-up the following dialog box, will require the proxy to write the DNS address to determine

4. Repeat steps 2 3 to populate the DNS list with all DNS addresses that require a proxy.
