Download Software through yum

Yumdownloader is a tool that comes with yum.

[[Email protected] ~] # Rpm-Qa | grep Yum-utils

[[Email protected] ~] # Yum-y install Yum-utils *

[[Email protected] ~] # Rpm-QL Yum-utils

We can see that the yumdownloade tool is generated by the Yum-utils software installation!

After installation, you can use it directly. It is very simple to use, as shown below:

[[Email protected] ~] # Yumdownloader Vlock -------------------------- download to the current directory

[[Email protected] ~] # Ls

Vlock-1.3-23.i386.rpm

 

Compared with Yum-y install -- downloadonly -- downloaddir =/tmp/Vlock, this software can still be downloaded even if it has been installed in the current system.
