I. CSS overview
Today, the layout of web pages is becoming more and more complex, and many effects need to be achieved through CSS. Dreamweaver MX 2004 has greatly improved the CSS function design. Modern web page production is inseparable from CSS technology. CSS technology can effectively control the layout, font, color, background and other effects of pages. CSS can not only make beautiful and neat pages, but also add many magical effects to the pages.
The process of creating a CSS style sheet is the process of setting various CSS attributes. Therefore, it is very important to understand and master attribute settings. The CSS style of dw mx 2004 contains all CSS 1 attributes defined by W3C standards. These attributes are divided: type, background, block, box, border, list, positioning, expansion, and other eight parts, as shown in the following figure:
Dw mx 2004 implements the CSS attribute setting function, which is completely visualized without coding. Next we will explain in detail. For ease of understanding, start from creating a new CSS style sheet:

Place the insertion point in the document, and then execute one of the following operations to open the "create CSS style" dialog box:
On the "CSS style" panel ("window"> "CSS style"), click "new CSS style" in the lower right corner of the panel, as shown in the following figure:
In the text property checker, select "manage style" from the "style" pop-up menu, and then click "new" in the displayed dialog box ".
On the "related CSS" tab (select "window"> "tag checker", and then click the "related CSS" tab), right-click, select "new rule" from the context menu ".
Choose "text"> "CSS style"> "New (N )...".
