This section provides a brief description of each menu in Dreamweaver MX 2004. The following picture is the menu bar:

The following menu options are described separately:

File menu	Edit Menu
the File menu contains new, open, save, save all, and a variety of other commands for viewing the current document or performing actions on the current document, such as preview in browser and print code.	the Edit menu contains selection and search commands, such as select parent tag and find and replace. The Edit menu also provides access to preferences in the DW menu.
View Menu	Insert Menu
The View menu allows you to see various views of the document, such as Design view and code view, and can display and hide different types of page elements and DW tools and toolbars.	The Insert menu provides an alternative to the Insert column to insert an object into your document.
Modify Menu	Text Menu
The Modify menu allows you to change the properties of the selected page element or item. With this menu, you can edit label properties, change table and table elements, and perform different actions for library items and templates.	The Text menu allows you to easily format text.
Command Menu	Site Menu
The Commands menu provides access to a variety of commands, including a command to format the code according to your format preferences, a command to create an album, and so on.	The site menu provides menu items for managing sites and uploading and downloading files.
Window menu	Help Menu
The Window menu provides access to all panels, inspectors, and windows in the DW.	The Help menu provides access to Dreamweaver documents, including help systems for using Dreamweaver and creating Dreamweaver extensions, as well as reference materials in a variety of languages.

In addition to the menu bar menu, Dreamweaver offers a variety of right-click context menus that you can use to easily access useful commands related to the current selection or region. To display a context menu, right-click an item in the window.
