XP and linux dual-drive dual-boot management-Linux Enterprise Application-Linux server application information, the following is a detailed description. Install linux on the basis of the original environment: windows XP-sata hard drive 160 GB. Does not change the MBR of the original Hard Disk

Add an IDE Hard Disk of 40 Gb for linux installation.

1. BIOS modification IDE-40G for the master hard disk

2. Set the boot and installation of linux for the optical drive.

3. Modify/boot/grub. conf

Add at the end of the row:

Title Windows XP
Map (hd0) (hd1)
Map (hd1) (hd0)
Rootnoverify (hd1, 0)
Chainloader + 1
Boot

Or use ntldr to guide linux

1. Run: dd if =/dev/sda of =/mnt/C/linux. lnx bs = 512 count = 1 on the terminal

(If not mounted, copy the generated linux. lnx file U disk to C)

2. Modify the end line of the boot. ini file to add a: c: \ linux. lnx = "linux"

3. Overwrite MBR with FDISK in DOS. Command: FDISK/MBR

In this way, you can choose to enter the Linux system when you start windows.
