Skim is a free and lightweight PDF reading, labeling tool with a thoughtful layout, and skim can annotate PDF files better than the previewer that comes with OS X.

Latex is an authoritative technology paper typesetting software, not only can write paper, but also to deal with the daily work of various documents, or even make slides. The biggest advantage compared to Word,latex is that it is very beautiful for editing and typesetting complex formulas. And with simple commands, you can create complex structures such as footnotes, indexes, catalogs, and references. Preparatory work:

• At least 4GB of free space on Mac
• High-Speed Internet connection

First step: Install MacTeX

• Enter the MacTeX website to download the MacTeX.pkg file. The file is about 2GB and takes a while to complete the download, so take a cup of coffee now.
• When the download is complete, double-click MacTeX.pkg to install.
• After the installation is complete, you will see a number of Tex-related program icons, temporarily ignoring them.

Step two: Install sublime Text

• Go to Sublime text website to download the latest version of sublime text. Here I downloaded the sublime Text 3.
• After the download is complete, drag the file into the application folder to install.

Step Three: Install the package Control in sublime text

We need to download the plugin in sublime text to work well with Latex-related files. Plugins are downloaded through the package control.

• Go to the Package control website to copy the code for the gray block.
• Open Sublime Text.
• Use the shortcut key " control+~ " (~ just below the ESC key) to open Control Panel console. You will see a white window pop up at the bottom of the sublime text.
• Paste the code you just copied into the Control panel.
• Press the " Enter " enter key. Then quit and restart sublime Text.

Fourth step: Install Latex Tools

• Sublime text is restarted, press "" to Command+Shift+P Open command tray commands Pallet, this step can also be done through the tools drop-down menu.
• Enter "" In the Command tray Install Package and press Enter enter to build.
• When you are finished, enter " LaTeX Tools " to find this item and enter the installation.
• Exit and restart Sublime Text.

Fifth Step: Install Skim

• Enter skim download skim and install
• Open Skim, in the menu barSkim > Preference(选项) > Sync(同步)
• In the Presets menu, selectSublime Text

• Close the window above.
