first, what is

Elasticsearch is an open source search engine based on Apache Lucene.

Elasticsearch:

Distributed real-time file storage, where each field is used and searchable

Distributed real-time analytics search engine

Can scale to hundreds of servers, processing petabytes of structured or unstructured data

Second, installation

Window environment Download the installation package to extract and execute the Elasticsearch.bat in the bin directory

Under Linux:

      curl -L -O http://download.elasticsearch.org/PATH/TO/VERSION.zip <1>

      unzip elasticsearch-$VERSION.zip

       cd elasticsearch-$VERSION

installing Marvel:marvel is a elasticsearch management and monitoring tool that includes an interactive console called sense that makes it easy for users to interact directly with Elasticsearch through a browser.

   ./bin/plugin -i elasticsearch/marvel/latest
如果想要禁用监控，可以使用命令：
 echo ‘marvel.agent.enabled:false‘ >> ./config/elasticsearch.yml


三、运行 
 
 ./bin/elasticsearch  
  If you want to run in background daemon mode, add the-d parameter  
 
  See if it's successful  
 curl ' Http://localhost:9200/?pretty '  
  return result:  
     

 { "status": 200,  "name":  "shrunken Bones",  "version": { "number":  "1.4.0", " lucene_version ": " 4.10 "}, " tagline ":  "Know, for Search"}              
  indicates that it is up and running correctly  

四、关闭

curl -XPOST ‘http://localhost:9200/_shutdown‘

五、查看Marvel 
 http://localhost:9200/_plugin/marvel
