EMC Autostart5.2 Installation and Configuration manual
First, pre-installation requirements:
A two network cards are required on each server (one for heartbeat and one for users in the local switch)
b Install the database before installing Autostart, the same path to the installation of the database on both sides. The letter corresponds to the same size.
(c) Since autostart requires the support of the SNMP protocol, it is necessary to ensure that the SNMP protocol is installed prior to installation
d The service that needs to be protected must be set on both sides in manual mode and in a stopped state
E in each machine's Hosts file fill in the host name and IP correspondence, the following figure:
After this is done, after you have installed the databases on both servers, you can install the EMC Autostart 5.2 dual-computer hot standby software after restarting the two servers.
Second, start installation:
First of all, we install Replistor, replistor installation process relatively slightly simpler, all the default next, need to pay attention to the place in the input license that step, check the trial can be or according to the provided Licnese input.
Install autostart after installing Replistor, install Autostart, install on the first node, and then authorize the remaining nodes on the first node before installing the other nodes, install the following steps:
We put the installation program on the server, on the server E or F disk has a tools directory, which has a software directory, which has three application directory, according to the following number to install the order, select Eas52_win-1, select the Agent directory, click on the Setup, The installation interface appears, all click Next and yes, the default installation of the following figure:
After the check is complete, the starting installation interface for the EMC Autostart 5.2 main program is shown below:
Select "Yes I have read the documents" click Next to the following figure:
Choose to accept the license as shown below:
Select Complete, click Next to the following figure:
Specify the program installation path, by default, click Next to the following figure:
Enter the domain name in domain, which can be customized by the user, and this example is defined as "gmdl or gmdl1", as shown in the following figure click "Next"
Note: Install the first server select "Yes, this is the" and "," click "Next"
Select the mirrored private network card and click Next to the following figure:
We are prompted to enter the license obtained, if there is no license to the software itself with a 90-day software testing period, here we do not enter, and so configured before entering the license, click "Next" the following figure:
Select Next, the default installation can be,
Install the process at the end of the same directory installed console program, the default installation can
After the server reboot completes, locate the EMC Autostart Console (console) from the Start menu, create a second server node, and grant logon domain permissions to prepare for the installation of the second server as shown below:
After opening the console, click on the domain "EAS52" in the right-hand option box to select "Licensing/security" as shown below:
In the following "User name" to fill in the administrator, in "Domain/node" inside the second server's hostname, where the name is test2 (please fill in the actual environment), in the "Access Rights" Select the administrator right inside, click "Add" the following figure:
When you are finished adding, click Apply to the following figure:
After the authorization is complete on the first machine, you can now install a second server, the basic steps to install a second server are basically the same as the first one, and the following points are not the same
Note: In addition to installing the first server, in the other server installation process, in domain selection requirements in accordance with the first server, click "Next" as shown below:
Select "No" here, already install a node in the EMC Autostart domain
In "Primary" out of the first server to enter the name of the machine, click "Next" as shown below
:
Select the IP address of the mirrored network card and click on "Next" as shown below:
After the second server restarts, two servers are seen in the "Nodes" in the first installed EMC Autostart console:
The two servers are added and the next server adds the same method.
Here you can start creating resources, and in order for the entire process to be standardized, it's best to select the directory that needs to be mirrored, which needs to be set up in Replistor
Start Replistor First, click start → program →replistor
After you open replistor, you need to add a server that requires mirroring, as shown in Function→attach
In the pop-up interface, first search the LAN all installed Replistor server, according to their own needs to add the results of the following figure (because this figure has created a mirrored directory so the display of more things):
You need to create a mirror after adding the server and make sure that you have the same directory on both primary machines before you create the mirror
First select the host, click on the menu bar Maintenance→add specification→file/directory or directly in the host location right click
Select a mirrored directory
Tick the corresponding second node and click Next
Because you need to start mirroring through autostart, the setting here should be
Click the Finish button to complete the creation from the host to the standby machine
After the creation is complete, it will appear as shown in the following figure
Here we just create a mirror from the host to the standby, and when the failover takes place from the standby to the host mirror, so we also need to create a mirror in the opposite direction (from the standby to the main) step basically the same, in the first step you need to select the standby, and then select Maintenance→add Specification→file/directory or right-click on the standby to select
At the source, select the same directory as shown:
Target server Select Host, here are 95598 for example
The next option is the same as the host setting
Then click Finish, click Finish will appear a hint, here we click "Yes" on it
This completes the initial setting of the mirrored resource, and you can see that the two we have built is grayed out and here is normal.
Next we need to create a series of resources that need to be done in autostart
First, create a virtual IP resource, in the Start menu to find Emcautostart console with the right mouse click "IP Addresses", select "Create New IP address" as shown below:
Pop-up Create virtual IP window, first remove the "Get IP from Name service" "√", in "IP address" entered the virtual IP, in the "Subnet Mask" input subnet mask, and for it to choose to be bound on a dual-computer network adapter
Select the bound NIC on the first server click Set Interface (all virtual IP-bound network cards should be for external service network card) as shown below:
Then select the network adapter for the second server (note: The IP address of the selected network card must be the NIC IP of the first server)
