When a user uses the Ghost XP disk to install the system, the following error occurs when selecting one-click Ghost to drive C:
Error: cannot load file (code: 5555 h); bootauto. ini (or bootdm. ini, bcdwbcdw. ini, etc)
Press any key to boot from hard disk or ESCape to reboot...
The error code 5555 h is displayed. Analysis: The root cause of this error is that the MBR (the main boot record) cannot be rebuilt on the general Ghost XP system installation disk, which makes the installation disk unable to load files on some hard disks with hidden partitions. It has nothing to do with hard disk mode and partition type.
It doesn't matter if an error occurs. We have a powerful general pe toolbox! As long as we can still enter the bios system, we can enter the pe system, so that we can use tools in the pe system to fix it. The following describes the methods:
1. Download the latest universal pe toolbox from a computer that can be connected to the Internet to make the USB flash drive into a boot disk, and then plug in the USB flash drive on the faulty computer. Restart.
2. Press the hot key to enter the bios system during the restart process (Click here for bios settings), set the USB flash disk to the first boot, save and exit.
3. Select the pe system of the right computer to enter. After entering the pe system, use the desktop boot repair tool to repair the boot.
Here, I have to mention that using the general pe toolbox to install Ghost xp won't happen. This is because when diskgenius is used to partition a hard disk, the boot is rebuilt by default. To ensure that everything is safe, we have also prepared a boot repair tool for you to use.
