To resolve this issue, remove the McAfee VirusScan add-in from Outlook:
1. On the Tools menu in Outlook, click Options.
2. Click the Other tab, click Advanced Options, and then click Add-Ins Manager.
3. Click to clear the Exchange Scan (Exchange Scan) check box, click OK, and then click OK. (If it's Norton, remove Norton's tick)
4. Click OK.
