Failure phenomenon:
After you install the Office verification Files (OFV) add-in for ms11-021 and Office 2003 (KB 2501584), you can use Excel 2003 to open workbooks stored in a network location on your network more slowly than if you did not install OFV, and how do you solve them?
Reason Analysis:
OFV reads the file before opening it to determine whether it is trustworthy. Doing this on the network degrades performance because network traffic is consumed when the workbook is read.
Solution:
Download and install the Office 2010 file validation Update from the Microsoft Knowledge Base article, kb:2553065;
When you open a file on your network, you can get both OFV protection and typical energy, and you can upgrade to Microsoft Excel 2007 or Microsoft Excel 2010.
Copy the file to the local workstation, open it from the local hard drive, and then copy the file back to the network location;
User accesses a file at the same time, you must be careful to collaborate with other users to avoid overwriting changes made by other users before copying the file back to the share.
To use Excel 2003 and avoid network performance problems, you can use registry settings to disable Excel's Microsoft Office file verification add-in, which removes additional OFV protection for Excel, but still protects other Office applications:
1, close the Excel 2003 Office document;
2, open Registry Editor, click Start, Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
tip: It is risky to modify the registry, please back up important data in advance.
3. Entry into the registry: "Hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\office\11.0\";
4. After selecting the registry key specified in step 3, on the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Items.
5, type Excel, and then press ENTER.
6, select Excel, point to New on the Edit menu, and then click Items.
7, type security, and then press ENTER.
8, select Security, point to New on the Edit menu, and then click Items.
9, type "file verification", and then press ENTER.
10. Select file validation, point to New on the Edit menu, and then click DWORD Value.
11, type "Enableonload", and then press ENTER.
Note: The default value for disabling validation is 0.
12, on the File menu, click Exit to exit the Registry Editor
Third, commissioning end, problem solving.
