File and Print sharing settings

1, select the folder to share, click Right key to select sharing and security.

2, select the Shared tab in the network sharing and security under the Network Installation Wizard links. (such as this XP system has set up file sharing, skip to step 7th)

3. Click Next until you select a connection method (connect to the Internet through a gateway) and then click Next.

4, you can set the computer name and workgroup name (the computer to be shared is best to set the same workgroup name), you can also directly point to the next step.

5, choose to enable file and printer sharing.

6. Choose to complete the wizard after the next step until completed.

7, again, as in step 1th, open the shared properties, choose to share the folder on the network, and, if necessary, choose to allow the shared file to be changed by the sharer.

Windows Firewall is enabled during the Network Setup wizard, and Printer sharing is set up by default, allowing sharing only between computers on the same network segment.

8, if still cannot share, check Guest user is disabled: Control Panel--> Management tool--> Computer Management, see Guest user status.

If disabled, click the right key to open the property and remove the account that has been deactivated. If you want to set the password to be shared, click the Guest user to set the password.

9, in the Network Neighborhood can only see this segment of the shared computer, different network segments of computer sharing in the Resource manager input is shared IP address to find.

10, if you want to share the printer on this computer, double-click the printer icon will be prompted to install the appropriate print driver, the installation is complete to share printing.

11. If the shared object cannot be found in step 9th, check the network firewall settings to allow visitors to access the 139 port of the shared computer or to temporarily shut down the firewall. Open the Local Area Connection properties, select the advanced Point setting, and then click the exception:

Select File and print share post edit, select the TCP 139 point to change the range, and then choose a custom list, add the computer IP address allowed to share, the graph allows the entire 192.168.100 network segment of the computer to share.
