We can often see some very special fonts and effects on books, on the Internet, or on posters, and I think you will be enchanted by these special fonts. In fact, as long as there is a rich font, you can easily achieve these effects in Photoshop.
The fonts used in Photoshop are actually calls to Windows ' system fonts, and we just have to install the font files in the Windows Fonts directory so photoshop can use them.
But a lot of friends in Photoshop actually use the font time will encounter such or such problems, especially font installation and font name display problems, let's take a closer look.
At present, more commonly used fonts are: Wen ding font, Han instrument fonts, founder fonts. And the way these fonts are installed is basically a few.
1. Automatic installation
Open the optical drive, put the font disc, the CD will automatically run the Install Font program, select the font you need to install, and then press next to install the font to the Windows Fonts directory.
2. Manual Installation
Some fonts do not have the automatic installation program, this time you need to manually install. Open My Computer, then open the C disk, and then open the Windows directory under C disk, find the Fonts folder and open, select the File menu to install the new font. A dialog box that adds a font is added, and the following drive selection box selects the letter that contains the font. Copy the following font to the Fonts folder selection box, press the Select All button, select all the fonts, and then press the OK button, so the font will be installed in the Windows Fonts directory.

Copy the font file directly (Ctrl + C) and then paste (Ctrl + V) into the Fonts folder.
4. Simple Installation
Font files are large, installed according to the above method, for some machine configuration is relatively high user is not a problem, but for small machine configuration users, will occupy a lot of hard disk space, so that the entire Windows system running slowly, this time need simple installation.
First copy all the font files to other hard disk, and then do the manual installation, just notice in the dialog shown in Figure II, "Copy fonts to the font folder" in front of the small hook to remove, installed on it. Or, directly create shortcuts to these font files and copy them to the fonts directory. Note: Do not delete the font files that are copied to other hard disks, because Windows uses these shortcuts to invoke these fonts at this time.
Chinese display of font names
Now that the font is installed, let's open Photoshop and select the Type tool, which will appear in the Text property bar above, but the font name displayed is in English.
How do I get Photoshop to display the Chinese name of the font? Select the general (regular) of the preferences (parameter setting) under the Edit menu, and jump out of a preferences (parameter Settings dialog) to move show font Names in Chinese before the check out, press OK button, at this time we can see the Text property bar in the font displayed in the name.
