Foxit Reader supports the PDF signature feature, which allows you to add a handwritten signature to a PDF file, or to import a picture from a local disk or clipboard as a signature. At the same time, Foxit Reader supports signature encryption, which allows users to encrypt a saved signature, prevent others from illegally using or editing a saved signature, and further protect the safe use of sensitive information.
To add a signature to a PDF document, follow these steps:
Choose Protection > PDF signature > Create signature.
In the Create Signature dialog box, select Draw signature, import file, or from clipboard to create the signature.
If you select Draw signature, tap Draw, draw the signature in the Draw signature box, and then tap OK to save the signature.
If you want to sign a picture, select "Import File", click "Browse", then select the desired picture and click "Open". You can preview the picture in the preview box.
If you want to apply the contents of the Clipboard directly as a signature, select from Clipboard, and the Clipboard contents are automatically imported and displayed in the Preview box.
Optionally, tick the "password required to use this signature" option, enter the password and confirm.
Click Save, and then double-click the location where you want to add the signature to add a signature to the PDF document.
Note: When you apply an encrypted signature, Foxit reader will ask you to enter your password.
Verifying digital signatures
