GAppProxy is a free open-source HTTP Proxy Internet Access software written in Python and run on Google App Engine. Therefore, we do not need to build a dedicated server. GAppProxy is suitable for personal use, self-management, and self-use. Relying on Google's network, the proxy is stable, reliable, and fast.

This article describes how to set up and install GAppProxy and how to use GAppProxy to proxy Internet access.

Because GAppProxy is based on Google App Engine, you must first prepare a google account (gmail account ).

1. Apply for a GAE space and create a new app_id:

1. Open your browser, enter http://appengine.google.com/, and enter the gmailuser password.

3. To apply for GAE, you need to use a mobile phone to authenticate your mobile phone number. Note that you need to write + 86 in front of your mobile phone number.

4. After the mobile phone receives the verification code, enter the verification code. After the verification is successful, the GAE application is completed.

5. Create a new application identity. For example, gappproxy200 is used here. Note that this application identity will be used later.

2. Deploy the GAppProxy Server:

1. Download The http://code.google.com/p/gappproxy/downloads/list download server Source code package from the GAppProxy project to automatically deploy the tool, that is, uploader-2.0.0-win.zip (if you cannot download it, click here ).

2. decompress the downloaded file and double-click the uploader.exe file under the directory, enter the created app_id after the AppID prompt, and then enter your gmail username and password as prompted (note that the password will not be displayed when you enter the password ).

3. Wait until "ready to…" appears ..." Indicates that the deployment is completed.

4. Enter the http://xxx.appspot.com/fetch.py in the browser, pay attention to replace the xxx with the created app_id, if the display, as shown in, indicates that the server has taken effect, otherwise you can refresh several times to try!

3. Install the client:

1. Download the Windows client from the http://code.google.com/p/gappproxy/downloads/list on the GAppProxy project download page, that is, localproxy-2.0.0-win.zip (if not downloaded, click here ).

2. decompress the downloaded file, use NotePad to open and modify the proxy. conf file under the directory, and add the last line, as shown in. Note that the red part is changed to the app_id just created.
