The author is an IT freelance writer, usually need to review a lot of newly released software, that is, the software download down to install and trial, but some software installed and use after can not be clean uninstall off. Internet Café Computer host generally installed a hard disk restore card, no matter what read and write to the hard disk, restart after the hard drive will restore the original state, is it necessary to install a hard disk restore card to have such a recovery function? Here I recommend a software: Powershadow.
Using the Powershadow software, you can run all reliable or unreliable software on your computer, or even viruses, and then restart the computer again to the beginning of the state. This is a bit like a hard disk restore card function.
Basic methods of Use:
After the software starts the interface as shown in Figure 1 in the General (integrated) option performers (Figure 1), there are two options, which are "Start single shadow Mode (Create shadow for system partition only)" (Only the system disk has a separate shadow system), there is also a "Start full shadow Mode" (Create shadow to all local hard disks) (shadow system is set on all hard disk partitions). In this case, the shadow system refers to: in the shadow System state, all the hard disk read and write operation will be restarted or shutdown after the failure of the computer.
Figure 1 Powershadow Main interface
When the first option is selected, it means that a shadow system is set on the system disk C disk. All operations on C disk are restored after restarting the computer, and the latter is selected, which means that the shadow system is set on all partitions of the hard disk, and the read and write operations on all hard disk partitions are restored after restarting the computer.
After selecting, click the "Start" button and begin to enter the shadow system.
All reads and writes to the hard disk can be recovered after reboot. So at this time you can run some just download or unfamiliar software on the computer, after installing the software, you can see whether they are normal operation, whether there is a bundle of software or whether there is a virus, if the software has problems, or do not think they are suitable for use, You can no longer install it after restarting the computer, so that you can test the software to avoid problems with the software and not completely uninstall it after installation.
I often write some introduction of new software articles, download the software down, installed after the use of writing articles, then unload it, with Powershadow this software, you can not damage the operating system at the same time write good articles, here I have some experience: if you want to write evaluation articles, The text file should be built on a non-system disk, the evaluation software should be installed on the system disk, when you enter the shadow system, you should select the first item, that is "Start single shadow Mode" (Create shadow to system partition only) (only set the system disk alone shadow system), because the software is not needed after the use, and the article is still to save after writing, so to save the article in a non-system disk.
When the software installation is complete, the computer system will appear a boot menu, the author of the Windows XP operating system as an example, the boot menu has two items, one can enter the system in a normal way, and the other is to enter the system in shadow mode. It is also possible to choose directly into the shadow system here, but it is much simpler to enter the system and then enter the shadow system.
Exit Shadow System: After entering the shadow system, the software will generate a small icon in the taskbar, if you want to exit the shadow system, click on the small icon on the right mouse button, and then click "Quit Shadow Mode" (Exit Shadow System), you can exit the shadow system.
Advanced Settings
After the installation of Powershadow software, the computer on the boot will be a startup menu items, to the author of Windows XP, will add a Startup menu item, that is, "Shadow mode" (Shadow mode) to start.
Click the Startup Menu tab in the software interface to set the System boot menu (Figure 2).
Figure 2 Setting up the Startup menu
First set the Startup menu display settings, a total of four options. From top to bottom, in turn, "Show system disk alone Shadow mode", "Show all hard disk partition Shadow mode", "both display", "No Shadow Shadow Mode", you can choose according to their own needs.
In addition, you can set the retention time for the system boot menu below this tab.
The introduction of the software so far, I hope this software can bring convenience to everyone.
