Free Software Day SFD-CAs station curtain

September 20, 2014, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Open-source software Association, the free Software day SFD-Chinese Academy of Sciences station activities in the Academy of Sciences Zhongguancun Campus teaching building successfully held. Software Freedom Day (Sfd,softwarefreedomday) is a global celebration of free software and open source software. Starting from 2006, it is scheduled to be held in the third Saturday of September each year. The aim is to promote and promote free/open source software to the public. As the annual free software cultural exchange of the Grand Festival, the success of this event reflects the students, teachers and the education sector support for open source software.

This event, "open, free, share" as the theme of open-source desktop operating system, open-source mobile phone operating system, browser and open source community construction, such as hot topics are heated discussion. At the same time, two workshop sub-venues with practical hands-on way, the guests and participants together to experience the Web programming, git collaboration and other technical practices. The whole activity attracted about 200 people to attend.
