Getting Started in Word Animation Tutorial 119: Customizing Bullets

After you add a bullet, you can make custom modifications if you are not satisfied with its format. To select the paragraphs you want to reset first (of course, you can also directly do the following for paragraphs that do not have bullets set up, and then follow the format → bullets and numbering → bullets tab, click Customize, and open the Custom Bulleted List dialog box, which The following items are available:

Bullet characters: Displays the most recently used 6 custom bullets for the user to choose from.

Font: Click this button to open the Font dialog box, where you can set the font format for bullets.

Note: After you set the character color of a bullet, use the Font Color button on the Formatting toolbar to no longer work.

Characters: Click this button to open the Symbol dialog box to select a character you like as a bullet.

Picture: Click this button to open the Picture Bullets dialog box, from which you can find a picture as a bullet. Click the Import button in the lower-left corner to import and use pictures outside the picture library.

Bullet Position: Specifies how far the bullet is indented in a paragraph.

Tip: Set the character as the unit, the indent is inaccurate. If you want to indent a bulleted paragraph with characters, or in the Paragraph dialog box, make it easier.

Text position: Specifies the distance between text and bullets.

Note: In fact, even if you set the numeric value to zero, there is a certain distance between the text and the bullets because there is a default tab stop between them, and if you want to work around this problem, you can control the default tab stops by setting the distance to 0 or other values.

When you have completed the settings above, you can see the specific effects in the Preview box in the dialog box. Click the OK button to apply it to the selected paragraph.

Tip: On the Bullets tab, select the defined style, and then click the Reset button in the lower-left corner of the dialog box to revert to its original default setting.
