GIS learning Exploration

I feel the problem: each company's control reads an image in its own format. These formats are not generic. For example, the Supermap image file is. the image file of SDB and MapInfo is. MWs. Of course, each company has launched its own map editing system.
In the past two days, I feel that the GIS function is mainly divided into two parts:
1. process the loaded Map
2. Analysis and Processing of data in the database
3. Comprehensive processing, such as the selection of the shortest path between two points mentioned above
