git clone gtk-warning * *: Cannot open display

Using git clone to download the code failed, error message is as follows: (gnome-ssh-askpass:3372): gtk-warning * *: Cannot open display:

Workaround: Execute at the command line: [-N "$SSH _connection"] && unset ssh_askpass

or add it to ~/.bash_profile.

The GIT server code can be downloaded successfully by generating an HTTP password in settings-->http password on the git server and then prompting for a password on the client server using the git clone download code.
