First, modify the global configuration file
$git config--global user.name "GitLab"
$git config--global user.email "[Email protected]"
Second, Configure the SMTP service to send mail for Gitlab
1). To Modify the gitlab/config/environments/production.rb configuration file:
Config.action_mailer.delivery_method=:smtp
2). To change the SMTP mail configuration file gitlab/config/initializers/smtp_settings.rb:

Iv. Verification Test
Create user, Gitlab will happen mail to user mailbox
