The gnome development team has released the gnome 2.30 official version. Gnome 2.30 has gone through 6
Months of development, including many new features, improvements, defect fixes, and translation updates.
Gnome 2.30 has the following new features for its users:
- Nautilus includes the new split view mode. The default mode is browser mode.
- Empathy
Gained many new features
- Tomboy can now automatically synchronize your notes in the background, improving the startup speed and enhancing the copy and paste functions.
- Gnome system tools can now be verified using the unlock button with policykit
- Time tracker applet adds a new standalone Running Mode
- Enhanced printing support for evince, which can be annotated with attachments to PDF documents
- Epiphany can now use gnome-keyring to remember the password
- Vinagre is added with SSH Tunnel Support
- Other minor improvements and adjustments: new fonts can be found in Nautilus
The status chart automatically appears in the notification area, brasero
Now we will use cdda2wav to copy music CD and so on.
