Google mobile map experience

I just saw a reposted article about the Positioning Technology in csdn.ArticleSo I thought of some experiences of using Google mobile map in practice during this time, and I 'd like to share it with you.

 

In the past, Google maps were used on computers. Before going out to work, you should plan the route. No matter you are driving or taking public transportation, Google Maps can provide us with a solution for our reference, it seems quite convenient. Not long ago, I purchased a Hong Kong version of nokia5800 and s60v5 with GPS and the built-in OVI map didn't feel very useful. So I downloaded and installed a Google mobile phone map, just to catch up with my trip and check the effect by the way.

 

Like Google Maps, Google maps also provides three Route Planning modes: public transit, driving, and walking. Because mobile phones have GPS functions, the positioning function is added accordingly. Of course, it is not a navigation software, so there will be no voice prompts, just use the GPS positioning function to display your current location in real time. At the same time, Google mobile map needs to use the network function to download some map data in real time. 5800 supports WCDMA, and the 3G network speed is still quite fast. GPS search is also very fast, even in the house, I do not know if like OVI map using A-GPS technology.

 

One of the destinations for this trip is Qingdao. When you get off the train, you need to take a taxi to a pre-booked hotel. First, find the location of the hotel and set it as the destination. The current point serves as the starting point, plan the route, and then stop the taxi. As the car moves, the position of the current point will change constantly. I will observe whether the driver's route is consistent with the plan. I think this function is very useful for people who come to a strange city and can greatly reduce the chances of being hacked. The park in Qingdao is well repaired. Although you only need to walk along the sea, there are many scenic spots along the way. If you don't have a guide, you will easily miss the beautiful scenery. In this case, you can plan a walking route or take a look at it when necessary. Just like a map, the advantage is that you don't have to bother others. At first glance, you can know where you are. It is also useful when hanging out on the street, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. Laoshan is a must-have attraction in Qingdao. We live in the city center, and the cost is too high in the past. The best choice is bus. Before you go, use the bus mode for route planning. This function is the same as that on the computer. It provides several options for you to choose, which is very convenient. During business trips, we always bring computers to facilitate our official business operations. when traveling, we like to carry less luggage. One is easy, and the other is less secure. There is a smart phone that basically can do most of the things on the computer, which is also a good choice. The problem is that the functionality of smartphones is still not powerful enough. People are constantly finding a balance between portability and ease of use, but they have not been found yet. I remember reading the news some time ago, saying that Samsung had a product, whose name was forgotten, which is smaller than iPad, larger than mobile phone, and capable of SIM card insertion. I wonder if this is the point people are looking.

 

When I went home from the year before, I drove thousands of kilometers to reduce the workload for the Ministry of Railways. Thanks to my colleague's mountain GPS, I felt the convenience brought by technology. After I came back, I also bought one from the internet. I won't forget to bring it when I leave for a long time. Although sometimes it will make you waste some time, I can always take you to your destination. Now we have a map of Google's mobile phone, which will be taken wherever we go. When people had a cell phone, they would say that they could find you wherever you were. Now let's take a step further. It means that no matter where I am, I will not lose my way.
