Google launches personalized map customization service

The Google Map service adds new features. The recently launched "My Map" service allows users to add comments, videos, and images freely on maps, and share it with friends. However, Google Chinese map service has not yet enabled this function.
The My Maps service aims to help beginners better share information online, such as recommended restaurants and outing places. Google wants to use this service to encourage users to add information to Google Maps. You can set tags on a map, link videos and images to YouTube and other websites, and draw lines or symbols on the map to indicate paths or specific areas. These custom maps can be queried in Google Map search, unless they are set to "secret ".
"We want Google maps to be a platform for making, releasing, and searching for geographic information," said Jessica Lee, product manager of Google Map ."
At present, Google's competitors have already launched similar services, such as Microsoft's Live Search Maps. Yahoo's travel service also provides a service for users to draw travel routes on a network map. Yahoo's image sharing website, Flickr, also provides similar features, allowing users to mark locations on uploaded images.
