This article describes the steps for configuring the broadband Internet access for the home network of ADSL, with illustrations and details. It also describes the network parameter settings, DHCP settings, WAN port settings, and so on.
Next I will take the price of L-R410d multi-functional broadband SOHO router more than one hundred yuan) for example to describe the setting method.
1. Connect the line, and connect the wan port to the Internet, that is, ADSL or other broadband). Connect the LAN port to the Intranet, that is, your computer Nic;
2. Each vro has a default IP address. Check the instruction manual and check my 192.168.1.1;
3. Configure your computer IP address as 192.168.1.x. The Gateway and dns point to the vro, that is, 192.168.1.1;
4. Open Internet Explorer on your computer and enter http: // 192.168.1.1/to enter the router configuration interface;
5. When the general instruction manual arrives, you can browse the Web page smoothly. In fact, we find that our computer cannot access the network. This is mainly because the mac address of the router is strange, find the clone mac address option and select clone mac address. Then, you can access the Internet. Figure 36. Some vrouters do not have the mac address clone option, so we only need to manually modify the mac address of the vro, enter the IP address of your computer Nic In the mac address option of the vro. You can obtain the mac address of your Nic:
Enter the command prompt, enter "ipconfig/all" for the win2000/xp operating system, and press Enter. You can see a string of characters (for example, 00-E0-4C-9-B4-43), which is the mac address.
The following figure shows the texture description. Note: You can set it in red as follows.
Network parameter settings
Connect the vro to the computer with a network cable, and then perform simple settings on the vro to access the Internet. The functions of this vro are rich. If you only share the network, you only need to make simple settings for the basic functions of the vro. The vro provides a WEB-based management mode. You can easily configure the vro through IE. Each vro has its own IP address, which can be used to access the vro. For example, the IP addresses of the router are 192, 168, 1, and 1. The following logon interface is displayed when 192, 168, 1, and 1 are written to IE.
Enter the access account and password to go to the router access interface. You can easily access the Internet by setting network parameters, DHCP servers, and security rules.
Select the "Network Parameters" option and select the LAN port parameter settings. The following setting screen is displayed. This option is mainly used to set vro parameters.
The MAC address is the MAC address of the router to the LAN. This value cannot be changed. The IP address is the IP address of the router to the LAN. The default gateway of all computers in the LAN must be set to this IP address. Note that if the IP address of the LAN port is changed, you must use a new IP address to log on to the vro for WEB interface management. In addition, if the IP address of the new LAN port is not in the same CIDR block as the IP address of the original LAN port, the functions of the vro's virtual server and DMZ host will be invalid. If you want to enable these features, you need to reset them. The subnet mask is the subnet mask of the vro to the LAN. Generally, it is 255.255.255.0. The subnet mask of all computers in the LAN must be the same as the subnet mask.
Select "WAN Port Settings" to display the following settings, mainly to set the Internet access mode and permissions.
The WAN port connection type refers to three common Internet access modes supported by this router. Please select according to your own situation. If you are using a dynamic IP address, that is, you can automatically obtain an IP address from a network service provider such as China Telecom, select "Dynamic IP Address". If you are using a static IP address, that is, if you have a fixed IP address provided by a network service provider such as China Telecom, select "static IP". If you are using the ADSL virtual dialing method, select "PPPoE ".
Enter the Internet account and Internet password specified by the ISP for your specified ADSL Internet account and isp adsl Internet password. If you select on-demand connection, the connection is automatically performed when there is a network access request from the LAN. If the automatic disconnection wait time T is not equal to 0, the network is automatically disconnected when no network access traffic is detected within T consecutive minutes to protect your Internet resources. This setting takes effect only for on-demand connections and manual connections. Manual connection refers to the manual ADSL dial-up connection after the instance is started. Generally, we recommend that you select to connect as needed, because whoever doesn't want to start the system and then makes a difficult dial-up.
This vro also supports MAC address cloning. You do not need to change the MAC address. However, some ISPs may require MAC Address binding. In this case, the ISP will provide a valid MAC address to the user. You only need to bind the IP address based on the value provided by the ISP, however, most ADSL instances do not use this function, so we will not detail it here.
