in the Enterprise LAN environment, there will generally be a separate time server ( NTP ), the general enterprise will be used to Linux Platform for CentOS Set up as a time server, we introduce a more practical, more economical system resources, is in the enterprise's Windows Server open on domain control server NTP Server functionality (alternatively, it can be set on a more busy server).

Experimental System: windowsserver 2106 Standard Edition ( - bit)

Windows Server server, the default is as NTP the client works, NTP server is not started, the way to start is to modify the registry, so that the system switch to NTP server to run, here is the procedure to modify the registry, note: Please back up before modifying the registry.

(1) modifying The key value of the Enabled option

Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\w32time\timeproviders\ntpserver within the [Enabled] set to 1 .

Turn on the NTP Server feature (the NTPServer service is not turned on by default unless the computer is upgraded to a domain control server).  

( 2 ) Modify AnnounceFlags Key Value

Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\w32time\config\announceflags set to 5 .

This setting forces the host to announce itself as a reliable time source, thereby using the built-in complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) clock. Use the default a value if you want to use the outside time server .  

(3) Modifying the Type key value

Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\w32time\parameters\type within the [Type] set to NTP .  

service

first close windowstime service, then turn on the service. Can be in the "Administrative Tools" | "service" |  windows time finish under interface, click "Stop" and "Start", 11-48 dos netstop W32Time , net start W32Time
