The proportion of Internet Explorer users in China is higher than that in other countries. This is easy to understand because Microsoft's market strategy and our education system are basically based on the Microsoft Windows platform, therefore, Internet Explorer bound to the operating system is widely used. For example, many of our banks rely heavily on Internet Banking and online payments. Many users of Linux or apple systems can find alternative software for most applications. However, once domestic online banking is used, there is no way to switch to a Windows machine. Even more talented people, they have installed virtual machines on other systems to run Windows, which is specifically used to solve the problem of online banking. I know a friend of a network security company and even remotely operate the Windows Server managed by the company's machine room to use online banking.

However, if we only use IE as the web development and testing browser, many of our web pages do not comply with W3C standards. In turn, for normal use, we only use IE. The reason why IE6 accounts for more than 50% of its usage in China is as follows:

Therefore, IE6 is easy to use. Many domestic browsers are also developed with IE6 as the core. After IE8, they become unstable and prone to crashes. For the user, no matter which one is "good", it will be used.

3. Problems with habits, such as menu changes and multi-tab design, make many people who are used to IE6 and do not want to upgrade. If you are not buying a machine, Vista and win7 are used. You only need to discard IE6. However, the popular netbook configuration in China is still reliable with IE6 in XP.

 

In conclusion, why do I think IE6's domestic share is quite sad? In addition to the proliferation of dashboard, more importantly, our technological innovation lags behind the development source, which in turn affects users, especially students. The reason why IE6 is very useful in China is that other browsers are more standard and more standard, while many of our web pages and network applications are not standardized and rigorous, so we only use ie6. In this regard, we can see that many industries in China have such problems. Everyone is very impetuous. They do not want to keep improving their technologies, and they are talking about the market, we are just like one, and Chinese people refer to this as China's core competitiveness. But it just looks like a lot. Isn't it sad that the hardware and software in the middle are terrible? To solve these problems, you may need to look for reasons in terms of intellectual property rights and the education system, but this is beyond my knowledge.
