IIS installation in Windows XP and iis http 500 Internal Server Error

I installed iis5 and downloaded the installation package from a CD. The content is roughly the same.

 

First, ensure that you have an IIS installation package. Google and Baidu.

 

Second, click "Add/delete windows organization" on the left of the add or delete programs window"

 

Then, the system will start the Windows build-up Wizard for a moment, check Internet Information Service (IIS), and click Next:

 

Fourth: After clicking Next, I will use the installation package. I need to select the content required for installation, Click Browse, and then jump to your IIS decompression directory. Select it. If not, it proves that your installation package is incomplete and installation fails. Otherwise, it will be browsed all the way and selected all the way until the installation is complete.

 

Fifth, after the system is successfully installed, the system automatically creates a website directory on the system disk. The default directory is C:/inetpub/wwwroot. You can switch to this directory to view the directory.

 

Sixth: Server Control: Open Control Panel-performance and maintenance-management tools-Internet Information Service, or start-all programs-management tools-Internet Information Service (if any)

 

Finally, if an internal IIS 500 server error occurs, the following methods can be used. Not original. Is organized.

1. In "start"-"Settings"-"Control Panel"-"Administrative Tools"-"service", view the Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service (DTC) whether or not the COM + Event System Service is started. If not, start both services.

In addition, another problem occurs on my machine, that is, the DTC service cannot be started. At this time, the following two commands are executed in the CMD window:

(1) MSDTC-resetlog

(2). Net start MSDTC

After these two statements are executed, the DTC can be started successfully.

2. After performing the preceding operations, execute the following three commands in the CMD window:

(1), CD % WINDIR %/system32/inetsrv

(2) rundll32 wamreg. dll, createiispackage

(3) regsvr32 asptxn. dll

In these three commands, the createiispackage must be case-sensitive. Otherwise, an error occurs.
