I will give you a detailed analysis of the Illustrator software and share with you the illustration tutorial on creating a bird by using the color sequence.
Tutorial sharing:
(1) case study:

In this example, an illustration about the bird is created using the color sequence method, as shown in Figure 2-1. Bird, the subject of the screen, has a certain realistic style. It is mainly created using the color sequence painting method, and the decorative element lines and blocks of the screen are also created using the color sequence painting method. These two parts form a clear and interesting comparison and complement each other. They are integrated in visual elements to jointly build a dynamic and harmonious picture.

(2) knowledge points involved in the case:

1. Usage and skills of the pen tool
2. Usage and skills of pencil tools
3. Usage and skills of geometric drawing tools
4. Use the color and color palette to color the drawing.
(3) case creation steps:
1. Run the file/new command. In the displayed new document dialog box, name the document, specify the width and height of 720 * 576px, set the color mode to RGB, and set the grid effect to 72ppi. Click OK to create a document.
2. Conception and sketch. The overall idea of this example is to build a concise, vivid, and interesting picture by combining the birds in a realistic style and the decorative elements of the plane. In the conception, the bird is the focus on the top right of the screen, balancing the center of gravity with the bird's posture and tail, and using the plane elements such as line and surface to make the screen show a balanced visual experience. In terms of color, the color of birds is based on the dark blue of realism. The mouth, feet, and tail feathers are colorful. The decoration part matches the subject with the purple color to form a harmonious and non-dull color change. Figure 2-2 shows the grid of the work.

3. Create a bird's head. Use the default stroke and fill settings in the toolkit, and use the pen tool to outline a closed path to create a shape with the top edge of the head. The steps are shown in Figure 2-3:

2-3 steps for drawing the top edge shape of the header (from left to right, from top to bottom)
Keep the selected path, set no stroke on the control palette, and set the fill color on the color palette, as shown in Figure 2-4 (right:

Continue to use the pen tool

"Create more closed paths, as shown in Figure 2-5 on the left, and then use" select tool

"Combine them with the images created in the first step in the left, as shown in Figure 2-5 on the right. Note that a slightly different fill color is set for the newly created path to depict slight color changes.

Figure 2-5 create more closed paths
Based on the features and distribution of the bird's head feathers, draw more paths and combine them to gradually complete the form. From left to right in Figure 2-6 and from top to bottom, the blue line highlights the path added in each step. After the combination is complete, use the "select tool"

Select all created paths and run the object/group command.

5. Create an eye. Use the elliptical tool

And Press Shift to create a circle object of the appropriate size, set no stroke, fill value: R: 194, G: 132, B: 108. See Figure 2-11. Keep this object selected and double-click "proportional scaling tool"

"Bring up the" proportional scaling "dialog box, set the proportional scaling to 80%, and click the Copy button. As shown in Figure 2-11. In this case, a copy of a fully overlapped but small circular object is obtained. Set the fill color to R: 232, G: 227, B: 167. See Figure 2-11. Use the proportional scaling tool again to zoom in the circular object to get a new copy, and set the fill color to R: 255, G: 249, B: 248. See Figure 2-11. Finally, copy a smaller circular copy and set the fill color to R: 29, G: 46, B: 19. As shown in Figure 2-11, the upper right 1 shows:

13. Detail profiling and overall adjustment. After the creation of the bird, we need to turn back to the overall point of view to weigh and choose, decide the key points and further portray, and then we will add more texture and details to the wings, and supplement defects and omissions in the form. First, supplement the feather texture. Use the pen tool to outline the slim shape with bright and dark colors, and add details to the feathers on the wings to highlight the feather texture. See Figure 2-35.

Figure 2-35 Add details
Make some supplements to the form. After checking against the picture, I found that my feet were missing. I used the "pen tool" again to complete it with a solid path, as shown in Figure 2-36:

Figure 2-36 improved shape
After adjustment and supplementation, the effect of the completed bird is shown in Figure 2-37:

Figure 2-34 progress
14. Based on our ideas, we will use the decorative elements of lines and surfaces to form a complete picture with the bird's image. Next, create these objects. Use the "rectangle tool" to create a rectangle object, as shown in Figure 2-36 on the top left. Fill in the color, as shown in Figure 2-36 on the right. Use the add anchor tool to click in the appropriate position of the rectangular object to add an anchor, and use the directly select tool to select the new anchor, as shown in Figure 2-36. Drag the mouse to change the position of the selected anchor, as shown in the following figure:

15. Use the rectangle tool to create a large rectangle object to overwrite the bottom of the screen. Use the add anchor tool to add an anchor on the edge of the rectangle, then, use the direct selection tool to edit the position of the anchor. After that, use the "rectangle tool" to create a smaller rectangle object and fill it with a lighter purple, as shown in Figure 2-38:

Figure 2-38 elements
16. Add details. Use the rectangle tool to create rectangular objects of varying lengths in the upper-left corner of the screen, use the selection tool to select all of them, and click the alignment button in the control board to bring up the alignment board, click vertical top alignment and horizontal center distribution, as shown in Figure 2-39:

Figure 2-39 add and align details
Add more bar decorations to the screen to increase the details and balance the screen. Finally, use the "text tool" to create text in the lower right of the screen to complete the work, as shown in Figure 2-1:

(4) summary
Through the drawing and analysis in this example, we understand what is the "color scale painting", that is, the main use of color blocks to depict the object's shape and light and shade changes. I understand the main tools and methods used in the "color scale painting, this includes creating a path using the pen tool, splitting a shape using the tool, creating a basic shape using the drawing tool, editing using the tool for direct selection, and color palette setting. I have learned about the application of "color sequence painting". It is widely used to create objects and abstract plane decoration in a realistic style. "Color level painting" uses basic tools and methods. Mastering this method can lay a solid foundation for us to further use AI and create more creative works.
All right, the above information is the detailed illustration tutorial for the use of color sequence painting to draw birds for all the users of this software of Illustrator, users have seen this, and I believe that everyone is very clear about the drawing method, so everyone will try to draw it according to the tutorial above.
