1. Determine whether the MX record of the domain name is correctly resolved
Enter NSLookup-Qt = mx domain name in the command line
For example, the domain name is 365idc.com.
Enter NSLookup-Qt = mx 365idc.com to get the following interface.
Note that the above record is shown in the figure. The type is MX, and the mail exchanger is the address of the post office server.
Ping the address listed after mail exchanger in the command line. You can see that the IP address is the IP address of the specified post office server.
2. Check if port 110 of the server is accessible.
On the command line, enter:
Telnet post office server address 110
In this example, enter Telnet mail.365idc.com 110.
The following result is displayed:
If the preceding information is displayed, the POP3 Service of the post office system runs normally. Otherwise, the POP3 Service of the post office server is abnormal. Check whether the POP3 Service and queue service of IMail are enabled.
If the POP3 service is started normally on the server, but telnet port 110 fails, check whether port filtering is performed:
A. Whether TCP/IP filtering is performed on the NIC.
Right-click the NIC icon in the lower-right corner and choose status> Properties> Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)> advanced> Options> TCP/IP filtering.
If only the allowed TCP ports are listed, check whether port 110 exists. If no, add them.
B. Check whether port 110 is disabled in the IP policy.
Start-> Program-> Administrative Tools-> Local Security Policy-> IP Security Policy. If you see an assigned IP policy, change it to not.
C. check whether there are firewall restrictions (including Windows Firewall settings). If yes, disable them first.
D. If the server is behind the hardware firewall, perform port ing on the hardware defense to open port 110.
If there is a firewall and the corresponding port is opened, but still cannot receive emails normally, disable all the walls and restart them to check whether they are normal.
3. Check whether email service blocking exists on the server.
Check whether there are a large number of spooldirectories in the installation directory of imail.txt. SMD and other files. If there are a large number of files, it may be caused by spool. Please change the spool directory name and create a new spool directory before testing.
4. Check whether IMail is correctly installed.
Some users directly reload the post office system and then import it to the registry after changing the IP address. In fact, the related settings are incorrect. This will also cause failure to receive emails.
Check whether the IP address of the post office server is listed in software/Ipswitch/IMail/domains in the Registry, as shown in:
The IP address of the post office server is 218.85.132.99, but only 222.222.111.111ip address is listed here.
In this case, we need to fix and install IMail. Please refer to the following.
5. other unknown conditions.
How to fix and install IMail
The following figure shows the installation program (v8.22) for running IMail directly:
Select the third option, indicating that the anti_spam keyword file is not changed.
If you select the third option, the web template is not changed.
Select the above five services to start with the server.
