Impala is a real-time, open source project published by Cloudra, based on hive but using memory for computing, is the preferred petabyte-scale big data real-time query analysis engine using CDH.

There are two ways to install Impala, CM mode and manual installation, manual installation is more troublesome, need additional steps to verify the interaction with other components, the use of CM installed here.

1. Installation Preparation

CM is currently the latest version of 5.5.1, where CM5.4.0 and CDH5.4.0 are installed.

Install cm can use online installation and offline installation two ways, online installation will also need to download the basic installation package to the local installation, the installation process automatically download the software needed to install, but for high bandwidth requirements, because the domestic network environment to download resources outside the restrictions, affect the installation speed, Installation can be done by configuring the Yum source locally.
