Install and set Samba server and linuxsamba server in Linux
1. Install
Disable iptables and SELinux before installation.
Run the following command on Centos:
yum install samba samba-client
Run the following command on Ubuntu:
apt-get install sambaapt-get install samba-client
2. Set
Create a folder:
mkdir /home/samba
chmod 777 /home/samba
Edit the/etc/samba/smb. conf file:

3. Run
Run in CentOS:
service smb startservice nmb start
Run in Ubuntu:
/etc/init.d/samba start
4. Access Samba in Windows 7
Because Samba uses NTLM authentication, while Windows 7 uses NTLMv2 authentication, you must first set it to access it.
Start-> Run-> secpol. msc, an error occurs, prompting "trying to reference a nonexistent token .", Under C: \ Windows \ System32, find secpol. msc, copy it to the desktop, and then run it. Select Local Policy-> Security Options-> Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level, and change it to "Send LM and NTLMv2". If the negotiation is completed, use NTLMv2 session security ".
Click Start and enter "// Samba Server IP Address" in the Search dialog box to access the Samba server and copy and paste the file.
