Install ChromiumOS on a USB flash drive

Google's two heavyweight Operating Systems: Android and ChromiumOS. Not to mention Android. ChromiumOS is currently mainly used on ChromeBook devices. The entire system is basically a Chrome browser, which can install various Chrome extensions and various apps on the Chrome App Store. Although the ChromeBook device is cheap, it is useless because it is not sold in China! My personal opinion is caused by the domestic environment. If ChromeBook cannot use google services, it will basically be paralyzed. In this case, even if ChromeBook is very cheap and there is little value to use after it is bought, merchants will naturally not invest in the Chinese Mainland market.

Although there is no sales in China, it can also be sea tao or something. However, I cannot be so impulsive, for example, if I live a very short life. So I decided to burn ChromiumOS to the USB flash drive and try the system first. Then I decided not to start a ChromeBook.

However, Google does not officially provide a method to burn ChromiumOS to a USB flash drive. Fortunately, ChromiumOS is open-source and there are also a lot of online experts. So someone transplanted ChromiumOS and made an img system image, which can be directly burned to the USB flash disk to experience the system.

Before creating a USB flash drive for ChromiumOS, make the following preparations:
1. ChromiumOS system image, which can be downloaded here. The downloaded 7z package is decompressed and is the img system image of ChromiumOS.
2. Win32diskManger, which is used to burn ChromiumOS system images to a USB flash drive on the Windows platform. You can download them here.
3. One USB flash disk with a capacity of at least 8 GB, because the system image of ChromiumOS is already 7 GB...

The method for creating a USB flash drive is simple. Enable Win32diskManager,Image FileSelect the img system image file path of ChromiumOS,DeviceSelect the drive letter of the USB flash drive on your computer. Then, click the Write button to check whether the information on the USB flash drive is burned. Check whether the drive letter is your USB flash drive. After confirming that the information is correct, proceed to the next step. After the installation is complete, it will be completed. For example:

The browser can't do anything when looking at the webpage. Because google's service cannot be connected, there is no way to install an app online on google Chrome store. It can only be installed through an offline package, which is a little troublesome... The idea of purchasing ChromeBook has been abandoned.

After a USB flash drive is installed, the USB flash drive is cut into five, six, or eight linux ext partitions, so you don't want to use the USB flash drive on the window.
