Install domain control server

During the setup of the HA environment, the entire environment is required to be in the domain account. Due to the company's network environment restrictions, not every server is in the domain, you need to build your own ad server and configure the corresponding domain environment.

Here, the installation steps of Windows Server 2008 ad are described:

1. Configure the IP address. Because you need to use this machine as the DNS server, set the DNS:

First of all, install Windows Server 2008 on the server and enter the system after the installation is successful,
The first thing is to specify a fixed IP address for this Member Server, as shown below:
Machine name: demoserver
IP: 192.168.5.1)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
DNS: 127.0.0.1 (because I want to configure this machine as a DNS server)
Because DNS is not installed during the default installation process of Windows Server 2003, you need to add it manually as follows: "Start-set-control panel-add and delete"Program",
Click "Add/delete Windows components", find "Network Services", and select (by default, all network services will be added, you can click "details" below to customize the installation,
Because only DNS is needed here, we need to remove all the other ones and install them as needed)
 

2. Install the Active Directory domain controller role;

The default value is Windows Server 2000. Here, the compatibility of the function is selected. If Windows Server 2008 is selected, the following message is displayed in details: 7. the negative addition option of the domain controller, because after the active domain is installed, we still need to install the DNS server. Therefore, you can select this option to save time for installing the DNS server; 8. the location where Active Directory databases, logs, and sysvol files are stored. For security reasons, we recommend that you do not store them in the system directory disk. directory Service recovery mode password settings: 10. confirm the content and roles to be installed. 11. configuring ...... About 5 minutes; 12. Complete the installation. Now the Active Directory domain service wizard is complete. After the server is restarted, the new domain controller will take effect. After the installation is complete, remember to configure the DNS to be consistent with the local IP address.

3. New Domain Users

 
Log on to the domain controller and run "DSA. msc". The "ad user and computer" Console appears:
Create a user first, expand "demo.com", right-click "users", and click "new"-"user ":
A New User Wizard is displayed, which can be used to create domain users. Generally, on the Documentum platform, we recommend that you create a domain account named dmadmin.
Remember the password. In the future, this domain account will be used to install the product on each machine in the domain.
