3. Installing Magento
1. Download the Magento installation package and sample Data
From the official website http://www.magentocommerce.com/download Download Magento installation package, and unzip; the same page can also be downloaded sample Data, and then also unzip, and copy the media folder inside to Magento's installation package.
You can then copy the entire Magento installation package to xampp\htdocs\.
2. Import Sample Data
Enter Xampp phpMyAdmin, create a database, and then import the Magento_sample_data_for_xxx.sql into the newly created database.
3. Install Magento (Note: Please empty cookies before installing Magento)
Enter http://127.0.0.1 in the browser: / , you can install the step by step Magento.
