Install openstack in centos
1. Installation prompt

In this article, the system used to install openstack is centos7. The download path on the official website is centos-minimal. For the installation process, refer to the installation documentation on the official website. The URL is: centos-based openstack installation. Although openstack has a detailed installation process in the centos System in the official documentation, if you can get a general idea of the interaction process between each component of openstack, it will be helpful for troubleshooting during the installation process. The interaction diagram between components of openstack can also be found on the official website: openstack component interaction diagram.

In my personal openstack installation process, the component interaction diagram plays a very important role in analyzing some errors during the openstack operation process, therefore, we strongly recommend that you use the component interaction Diagram for installation.

2. Installation Process

As mentioned in the installation prompt in the previous section, the openstack Installation Process on the centos system is officially detailed. This section does not provide a cumbersome introduction, this section describes the installation steps that are easy to understand on the official website.

According to the official documentation, some errors may inevitably occur during the installation process. Based on my in-depth understanding of Linux systems and the overall architecture of openstack, here, I will share my troubleshooting experience. If the service cannot be started after it is installed, the possible reasons include: Port occupation and service dependency components not started, we recommend that you first run the tail-f/var/log/message command to continuously monitor the system logs to check whether the ports are occupied, and then monitor the logs of the service.

Due to limited devices, I only choose to install and deploy the controller node and compute node in the document. However, when the two nodes are at the core of openstack, therefore, you only need to install these two nodes to create and start the openstack Virtual Machine instance, therefore, after the NetWorking service is installed, you can directly create and start the VM instance, as shown in Figure 2-1:

During network installation on the control node, the configuration of metadata_proxy_shared_secret may be misunderstood during metadata proxy configuration on the control node, as shown in:

During network configuration of the computing node, the local_ip description error is displayed in the document on the official website when Linuxbridge is configured, as shown in:

Installation Result Presentation supplement

In the official documentation, the installation and configuration of each component in openstack are detailed steps, verification, and result display, however, the presentation of access via vnc url is missing in the final Virtual Machine instance. Therefore, this article adds the presentation of Access to the Virtual Machine instance through web pages:
