Install Parallels Tools in centos 7
First of all, let's talk about my failure experience. Environment: Parallel Desktop 10, centos 7. After the system is installed, the installation prompt for Parallels Tools GUI is successful. After the system is restarted, it cannot enter the Desktop. Command installation is the same! Failed to find multiple solutions on the Internet. Fortunately, the snapshot function is used, saving you the trouble of re-installing the system!
Solution: Upgrade Parallel Desktop to 11. centos 7 without changing the VM.
1.
Install the Parallels Tools ImagePrl-tools-lin.iso but graphical interface installation prompt failed
2.
Mount the Parallels Tools installation Image
[root@localhostyum.repos.d]#cd/media/[root@localhostmedia]#ls
Note: The/media/folder is empty.
[root@localhostmedia]#mkdircdrom[root@localhostmedia]#lscdrom
Note: The/media/folder contains the cdrom folder.
[Root@localhostyum.repos.d] # mount-oexec/dev/cdrom/media/cdrommount:/dev/sr0 write protection that will be mounted read-only
[root@localhostmedia]#cdcdrom/[root@localhostcdrom]#lsinstallinstallerinstall-guikmodstoolsversion
At this point, the image has been mounted to Parallels Tools.
3.
Install Parallels Tools
[Root @ localhostcdrom] #./install will prompt to automatically download the Update file. Wait a moment based on the network time and prompt that the installation is successful. Restart
