Install RedHat 9 with Vmware

1. Select All installation options in simplified Chinese.

2. After installation, the NIC cannot be activated. I checked it online.

The reason is that the NIC Driver between VMware and Red Hat Linux 9 is not compatible! Of course, you cannot use "ifconfig eth0 up" to activate the virtual network card!

Solution
A. edit/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 with root permissions (assuming the NIC number is eth0) and add the following content at the end of the file:

B. Activate the NIC. If DHCP is used, you can directly activate the NIC and automatically obtain the IP address. Run the command ifconfig eth0 up.
