Second, the installation of Ubuntu under VMware:
Specific installation steps can follow the recommended, but be aware that you must first create a new virtual machine, then install Ubuntu, not directly in the creation is installed, otherwise installed will be the English system.
Third, install VMware tools:
- Under VMware's Menu "virtual Machine (M)", select Install VMware Tools;
- Open the DVD folder on the right and copy the "vmwaretools*.tar.gz" to the desktop. Right-click Extract here to get a vmware-tools-distrib folder;
- Open the terminal to enter this folder, and execute the following command: sudo./vmware-install.pl
- Installation is complete.
Iv. setting up Shared folders:
Under Window, create a new folder. such as e-disk: Linuxshare.
In the case of Ubuntu off, on the left side of VMware, right-click Ubuntu, select Settings, select Options, and set up shared folders.
You can see the shared folder you just created in the Ubuntu/mnt/hgfs directory.
If you still do not see the shared folder, then you can enter the following command in the terminal to resolve after restarting: sudo vmware-config-tools.pl
