Install Webmin on Ubuntu14.04

Install Webmin on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS using official software sources

Add the official webmin Repository:

Modify/Etc/apt/sources. list,

1. Sudo vi/etc/apt/sources. list

Add the following content:

1. Deb http://download.webmin.com/download/repository
2. Deb http://webmin.mirror.somersettechsolutions.co.uk/repository

Add a GPG key:

1. Sudo wget http://www.webmin.com/jcameron-key.asc
2. Sudo apt-key add jcameron-key.asc

Update Software Source:

1. Sudo apt-get update

Run the following command to install webmin:

1. Sudo apt-get install webmin

If you want to access the webmin console from a remote system, enable the default port "10000" of webmin in the firewall"

1. Sudo ufw allow10000

Access Webmin Control Interface

Open the browser and access the URL ** https: // ip-address: 10000 /**. The following scenarios may occur. Enter the user name and password to log on to the webmin console.
