The following error occurs when matplotlib is installed from the source code in Ubuntu:
Src/ft2font. h: 16: 22: Fatal error: ft2build. h: no such file or directory
Src/_ PNG. cpp: 10: 20: Fatal error: PNG. h: no such file or directory
By searching compilation information, matplotlib depends onFreeType2, LibPNG, and other Development Kits
The specific solution is as follows:
(1) install FreeType2:
Sudo apt-Get install libfreetype6-dev
(2) install the PNG development kit:
Sudo apt-Get install libpng-Dev
(3) install matplotlib
Sudo Python setup. py install
