Install MongoDB on Ubuntu 12.04 Server

MongoDB (from "humongous") is an open-source document-oriented NoSQL database developed using C ++. The storage format is BSON, and the mode is free, featuring high performance, easy deployment, and easy to use, it is very convenient to store data. How to install MongoDB on Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise) Server

Sudo apt-key adv-keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com-recv 7F0CEB10
Echo "deb http://downloads-distro.mongodb.org/repo/ubuntu-upstart dist 10gen" | tee-a/etc/apt/sources. list. d/10gen. list
Sudo apt-get-y update

Sudo apt-get-y install mongodb-10gen

Configuration File:/etc/mongodb. conf

For Upstart-based systems, control scripts in/etc/init/mongodb. conf.

Default data file directory:/var/lib/mongodb

Default log file directory:/var/log/mongodb

Start MongoDB: sudo service mongodb start

Sudo service mongodb stop

Restart sudo service mongodb restart

Test: Run mongo on the terminal to open the mongo shell.

MongoDB shell version: 2.0.7
Connecting to: test

> Db. test. save ({a: 1 })
> Db. test. find ()
