Install the SSH service under Ubuntu and modify the SSH port

To install the SSH service:

sudo apt-get install Openssh-server

Installing Ssh-client

sudo apt-get install openssh-client

2.

Verify that SSH is installed.

Ps-e | grep sshd
450? 00:00:00 sshd

If you see an sshd stating that the SSH service has started

If not started:

/etc/init.d/ssh start

3.

Modify the SSH port

SSH default Port 22, we change to 22000

To modify a step:

A> vi/etc/ssh/sshd_conf

Port 22 Change to 22000

B>/usr/sbin/sshd-p 22000

C> Service sshd Restart
